RSS FEEDS BP1 Google Reader
1. The first group of RSS Feeds come from “Cool Cat Teacher Blog” by Victoria A. Davis. This blog was fascinating to me because it helped me with ideas with student involvement. It was interesting to see how teachers should model the future, create teachable moments, make real project based learning activities; We has teachers should practice what we preach; Should be energy cost effective.
In my class as we speak, I am still trying to motivate my students with their project base assignments. These were great strategies to go by.
2. The next RSS Feed was the “Free Technology for Teachers”, this has great
ideas and many different examples on how to make quizzes online. (Short and simple ones as well) Examples: 1st Question- student name, mixed questions- multiple choice, paragraph, or short answer. I also like how it
shows you how to embed your blog as well. This was a great technology piece.
3. RSS Feed “The Savvy Technologist” by Tim Wilson that Flickr has improved
and it is now on video and that is so good to no. Since it is my first time using Flickr photos with creativecommons.org, it will be so nice to use it for video
references.
4. The fourth RSS Feed“Teacher at Risk” by Elona Harties, is very enlightening
when she feels the same as I do, keeping a positive and safe environment so that
the differentiated learning safe zone for our students will continue.
5. The Last RSS Feed Under the “About.com Special Education Blog”, by Beth
Lewis, it is very refreshing to see a teacher rubric on “common teaching mistakes
for teachers to avoid”; to name a few of my favorite ones: aiming to be buddies
with their students; being to easy on discipline: minimizing communication and
parental environment. Just seeing this warning is good for a brand new teacher to
review as well as a veteran teacher.
